Sett Software aspires to Level 3: Defined of the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model. This reflects our desire to operate using documented and standardised processes for project management and software engineering activities. 

Service
Sett Software aims to deliver exemplary customer service through a friendly but professional manner, and honesty and integrity in all our dealings. We do not believe in giving false or overly optimistic promises. We aim to be as realistic on budget and timescale as possible. Where uncertainty, risk or variability in estimates exists, we aim to be totally up-front about this. Sometimes, it will be impossible to give an accurate up-front estimate of cost or time. In these situations, we will explain this fully, with reasons, and detail fully what work is required to develop an accurate estimate.

Clarity
Sett Software understands that what we develop is a complicated product. We aim to explain what we are doing and how we do it as clearly and plainly as possible. Some documents we produce to accompany our products may be technical in nature. Where these are delivered, we will provide full support to clients in understanding these documents.

Creativity and Innovation
Through well-managed projects, Sett Software aims to avoid wasting time by reinventing the wheel and spend more time on delivering creative and innovative solutions that perfectly meet our clients' needs. We are committed to the development of tools to increase our own productivity, and have research interests in this and other areas.

Sett Software aims to be as open as possible about the way in which our products and services are delivered. To this end, we publish our processes and methodologies on this site, and will happily answer any questions asked of us. Questions which are relevant to a wider audience will be published, with answers, on this site.

Quality
Sett Software aims to minimise defects in software through verification and testing. Where coding defects are present, these are rectified swiftly. Through a process of continuous automated testing, we ensure that as new features are added to a software system, existing functionality is not adversely affected.
